Velvet Monae is a black woman owned small business, and I currently based out of Houston, Texas. My first love was not in making skincare products, but it was with everything nursing. My desire to be used to help care for all humans — using my hands, my heart, my passion and my knowledge as a nurse, not because I see myself as the source of healing, but because I believe I’ve been called to be a vessel for it. Nursing taught me the power of compassion, patience, and intentional care, while my creative spirit led me to discover new ways of expressing that same love through artistry. I’ve always been naturally drawn to creating, blending, and inventing with my hands. Velvet Monae was born from that fusion of science and soul — a way to help others feel seen, nurtured, and restored, inside and out. Every product I craft is an extension of that purpose. I believe in loving the skin you're in - and giving it everything it needs to thrive. With time I hope to to say that my products are 100% natural, vegan or organically sourced, but I'm not quite there yet. Early mornings, and late nights have been dedicated to researching, learning and exploring every aspect of body care to ensure each formula delivers true results. My goal is not simply to make products that sell, but to create with intention, skincare packed with potent nutrition-rich ingredients that will deeply nourish, replenish, and restore your body, mind and soul. Every single product is formulated, crafted, and handmade in small batches for freshness and quality. Velvet Monae is infused with love, care and purpose.
